Atman means “the essence, the soul..” and the main reason behind this company is to show the “atman” of the coffees that Miguel Lamora curates through his vast experience in the coffee and hospitality industry.
With his background in the art world, he started his coffee career thanks to Latte Art as a different technique to draw while attending to his customers. This ended up in achieving two times in the Spanish Latte Art Competition back in 2012-13 and he was the only Spaniard who took a podium in the World Latte Art Championship so far, placing 3rd and best in Europe in 2013.
He’s considered as one of the pioneers in the Specialty Coffee industry in Spain, starting his path back in 2004 and inspired and trained many other professionals considered as a reference in the actual Spanish and Bcn’s coffee scene.
He started his good known “atmans Coffee Curators” as a multi-roaster cafe back in 2016 after a few years of managing one of the Best Coffee Shops in London. Unfortunately, he had to combine many other things during that season as a National Coordinator for the SCA in Spain from 2016-2019, so he decided to switch paths and start learning the craft of roasting for the last 5 years.
He’s coming back with a re-opening of “atmans” as a roastery, providing his customers a full experience from bean to cup showing the best examples from each region and how to get them ready to enjoy.
